Alexandra's work explores a deeper form of seeing: a field only visible our eyes with our eyes closed where colors, memory, sensation and imagination become their own collage of vision. Imprints explores the relationship between memory and inner vision.

Her ink transfers recreate fleeting experiences of color and movement seen in the field of inner vision, piecing together fragments of visual phenomena into one-of-a-kind works that can never be exactly repeated. Time and pressure are essential ingredients in the process, leaving their own imprint on the work, just as experiences leave an impression on memory.
